Dear Scheyvillians, at the Association’s National Executive meeting on Wednesday 14 April it was decided, with regret, not to proceed with the National reunion scheduled for October of this Year.
This decision was reached in light of the uncertainty still surrounding the situation with the Covid virus.
There remains a possibility of sporadic outbreaks in different parts of the country. Along with the associated border closures and quarantine measures, this was considered to put the programme at considerable risk. As always, when dealing with Covid, a “better be safe than sorry” approach has been adopted.
The prospect of rescheduling the reunion to 2022 is presently being evaluated.
