THE PROSTATE CANCER FOUNDATION’S LONG RUN
Good Afternoon
With the intent of acknowledging all of you who have supported me this Sep in my fundraising efforts for the Prostate Cancer Foundation’s Long Run, with some 3 days to go I have increased my personal target to 200K’s.
So far I have completed some 180K’s, the toenails have stopped bleeding and while the right knee may need some reconstruction one of these days, at the moment it’s holding up…so why not?
To date for this great cause we have together raised close to $32,000 under the Team Forbes name and over $10,000 under my own name – fantastic results in both instances!
As fundraising has progressed over the past 28 days I have attempted to thank each of you through The Long Run website and periodically posted updates on the site so you know how things are progressing. I hope you have had a chance to read them.
Your generous financial assistance and in many instances your physical support on the Team as a runner has boosted my morale and encouraged me from Day One, so once again my sincere thanks. The first 180K’s have been run to help those people impacted upon by this terrible disease… the final 20K’s are for you!
