Classmates,
i am very sad to advise that John Parker died this afternoon. John had heart surgery on Monday which seemed to go OK but he then suffered a series of strokes.
He has been a close mate of mine for over 60 years, and you will all have known him well enough to appreciate his fine qualities. As one of our golf group said this afternoon, he could always hit the ball straight down the fairway, and thats the way he was in life. A great bloke who will be missed very much.
John’s wife Sue and his son and daughter were able to be with him over the past day.
