MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL NOTICE FOR 2020/21

Gentlemen,

It is now time to renew your financial membership for 2020/2021.  We had 650 financial members supporting the Association in 2019/2020, which was well up on the 573 we had in 2018/2019.  It is pleasing to see that we have now got our financial membership above the 600 mark. We are finding that, as our members start to retire from work, they are enjoying the activities that the Association provides and are now seeking out their classmates.  The production of the OTU Coffee Table Book during the last year also rekindled interest.

If you have not been financial, but have enjoyed the fellowship that the Association offers through Chapter activities, ANZAC Day marches/functions, class reunions, The Scheyvillian and the Coffee Table Book, please consider supporting the Association in 2020/2021 by becoming a financial member.  If you no longer wish to be part of the OTU Association, just return the Membership Renewal Form notated accordingly.

Three options are available when renewing your financial membership:

• Complete the attached Membership Renewal Form, attach a cheque, and send it to our Treasurer.
• Use the information on the attached Membership Renewal Form to pay by Direct Debit.
• Access the website, otu.asn.au, and pay by Pay Pal.

(To do this you will need to log in using your regimental number & surname, then go to the Q Store tab on the top menu. After adding a subscription to your cart, click on “checkout” not “continue shopping”). You do not need to have a PayPal account to use this secure credit card gateway.

If you are paying by direct debit, or Pay Pal, please also take the time to check your personal profile on the website and update your details.

It would help if the bulk of our membership renewals were completed by

31 July 2020.

I have today received the email below from Les Boag concerning the on line funeral service for the late Peter Commerford (4/68). It is to be held at 2.00pm on Monday 11th May.

Can you please let our OTU association members know that while we will not be able to physically attend Pete’s funeral, his wonderful dedicated wife Carolyn has provided the attached document with details of the link to the service and the order of service for those who wish to join online.

Fellow 4/68 classmates,

While I would have attended if allowed, and provided Carolyn with a framed Statement of Service (SOS) for Peter, I have sent the SOS to Carolyn and will be joining the Pete’s funeral service online. I hope you are all able to also join the service online.
