Geddes Dinner 26 March 2020 – Reminder

27 February 2020

Gentlemen,

15th Annual Geddes Dinner – 26 March 2020

The 15th Annual Geddes Dining In Night will be held at the Toorak Services Club on Thursday 26 March 2020. After organizing 15 Geddes Dinners, this will be my swan song and I would really appreciate your usual strong support.

The primary aims of the Association are “to keep the blokes together” and to foster leadership amongst young people. The Geddes Dinner certainly satisfies both of those aims.

Our speaker is Michael Veitch who describes himself as an actor and a writer and cut his teeth in the glory days of TV sketch comedy with shows such as D-Generation and Fast Forward. Michael performed on stage in various guises, hosted a national TV Arts show and worked in radio and newspapers. His passion, however, is stories of World War 11 airmen and more recently embarked on his writing projects collecting the untold stories of Second World War airmen. He has written 5 books on this subject and will base his Geddes address on his latest book “Turning Point-The Battle for Milne Bay.

Michael will be bringing along copies of his books for sale after the Dinner and will be happy to sign your purchases.

The cost of the Dinner is $60 a head for the meal, the ambience and the experience of renowned Scheyville camaraderie. Drinks will be readily available throughout the evening at bar prices.

If you can offer a raffle prize, please let me know.

If you have any other queries, feel free to call me on 0412 354 170 or email me on rayelder45@gmail.com

Best Regards

Ray Elder
