Invitation 2023 Lord and Lady Somers Camps.

Dear Victorian Scheyvillians, the Lord and Lady Somers Camps are being

held again early next year (Covid forced their abandonment in 2020 and

2021 and visitor access was limited in 2022). The situation has now changed

for the better. Once again, the Association has been invited to come and

see at first hand, the young people in action with their stimulating

programmes.

We are able to visit the Lord Somers (boys) Camp on 9th, 10th or 11th of

January and the Lady Somers Camp on 18th, 19th or 20th of January 2023.

We normally arrive at Somers around 10.30 – 11.00 pm, watch  the young

people in their activities then join them for lunch. Departure is around

3.00 pm.

The whole experience is well worth while and gives a good understanding

as to why the Association has been sponsoring “Groupers” since the mid

1980’s.

If you would like to visit either the Lady or Lord Somers Camps could you

please let me know by Friday 23rd December. You would be most welcome.

Year End Lunch – Wednesday 14 December 22

Hi All,

Our year end lunch is on next Wednesday 14 Dec at 12.30 in the Bistro, RACV Club 501 Bourke St Melbourne.
We have gained a $20 per head subsidy for financial members for this lunch and have decided that we will stay with the normal menu as the festive menu is $55 per head and the subsidy would not benefit us greatly.
So, let’s stick to the main course as usual plus beer or wine and tea/ coffee, which should work out at around $25-$30 per head.
Smart casual, good humour and a festive spirit shall prevail!
Can you please advise to this email address of your attendance by COB Mon 12 Dec.
By the way, the Duntroon Society is having its year end gathering in the Carbine Club downstairs during the afternoon and it would be a good opportunity to meet with members of the Vic Chapter after lunch.
Cheers
Brian

OTU Assn – Membership Renewal Reminder

OTU ASSOCIATION 29th November 2022
NATIONAL COMMITTEE

MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL FY 2022/23 – REMINDER

Gentlemen,

With 624 membership renewals received to date for FY 2022/23, we are, at the half-way mark of the year, still somewhat short of achieving the 658 financial members we had at the end of last financial year. Interestingly, we have 70 members who were financial last year but are yet to renew this year. If they all renew, we will have an exceptional year!

If you have received this letter, you are unfinancial.

If you are intending to come on board and support the Association, your action on this front would be appreciated as soon as possible. Three options are available when renewing membership:

• Complete the Membership Renewal Form, attach a cheque and send it to our Treasurer,
• Use the information of the Membership Renewal Form to pay by Direct Debit.
• Access the website, www.otu.asn.au and pay by PayPal.

If you are paying by Direct Debit or PayPal and haven’t recently updated your personal details on the website, could you please take the time to complete and return the Membership Renewal Form so that we can confirm/amend your details for you. If members are no longer interested in supporting the Association, please return the attached Membership Renewal Form, notated accordingly.

It would help if we could receive your renewal by 31 December 2022.

Cheers.
