Operation Ivanhoe

Gentlemen,

I have received the following message from Gary McKay. For your interest.

============================

Next Monday on 20 Sep at 1030 a.m. there will be a Call to Remembrance shown on ABC TV.

This is about Operation Ivanhoe, but more particularly the Battle of Nui Le. The last major battle by Australians in South Viet Nam.

It is also special to the OTU Scheyville guys because there were three classmates (2/68) involved in this big stoush ( Marsden, Sonneveld, DFC and McKay GJ). The actual ceremony had to be cancelled owing to Covid lockdowns, so this is a ‘virtual’ ceremony.

It will also be available on ABC Iview.

Enjoy. Gazza
